Darjeeling [3 Nights]
Itineraries
Day 1
ARRIVAL IXB/NJP– DARJEELING (75 Kms. / 3 Hrs.)
Meet and Greet on arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Darjeeling (6,950 Ft.). On arrival check-in to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 2
DARJEELING - FULLDAY SIGHTSEEING
Early morning at around 04:00 am (subject to clear weather) visit to Tiger Hills (8,482 Ft.) to view the sunrise over mighty Kanchendzonga Peak (Third highest peak in the world), Ghoom monastery, Batasia loop and back to hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast go for local sightseeing of Darjeeling covering Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday, Local Festival time, State & National Govt holidays), Panoramic tour of tea garden & Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay at hotel.
Optional: Joy Train Ride (Diesel/Steam Engine) (Subject to availability) (rates mentioned on the optional column).
Day 3
DARJEELING – MIRIK EXCURSION (49 Kms. / 2½ Hrs. one-way)
After breakfast start for a full day excursion trip to Mirik (4,902 ft.), which is a small picturesque hill station with a beautiful lake surrounded by forested hills on all sides with the back drop of Mt Kanchenjunga. The road runs through some fascinating tea gardens, Orange Orchards, Cardamom plantations and pine forests. Visit Sumendu Lake, which is famous for it being one of the best man-made lakes. Enjoy horse ride and boating at the lake site on direct payment basis. On the way back to Darjeeling return via Pasupati Market, which is situated in Indo-Nepal border (Extra vehicle charges will be applicable for Nepal Border to Pasupati Market on direct payment basis). Evening back to hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 4
DROP TO IXB/NJP (75 Kms. / 3 Hrs.)
After breakfast Checkout from hotel and departure transfers to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
Optional: Drive via Mirik Lake (Horse Riding & Boating) & Pashupati Market (Subjected to availability)(rates mentioned on the optional column).
